Ag Days are Back in Brooke County!
On May 28 and 29, over 200 fifth graders from Wellsburg Middle School and Follansbee Middle School will attend Ag Days at Brooke Hills Park. A variety of exciting agriculturally related stations will be set up to provide the students with information on the agricultural industry right here in Brooke County. Farmers from around the county will bring some of their animals for the fifth graders to learn about. WVU Extension Agents and Specialists will also be on hand, teaching the students about composting, forestry, and 4-H. The student will also receive take home information on the careers available in agriculture.
Ag Days are coordinated in partnership with the Brooke County Schools, Brooke Hills Park, Northern Panhandle RC&D, Brooke County Economic Development Authority and the WVU Extension Office in Brooke County.

First Culinary Tour Deemed Success!
We had our area’s first Culinary Tour with 4 Great Wellsburg Restaurants! Forty lucky people got in on the tour at $25 a ticket (We had over forty more on the wait list that didn’t get to join us !) We started with awesome appetizers served family style in an amazing atmosphere at Station Grille. Then went to Crooked Dock for some great homemade soup or large salad. Next was main course at The River Club where they let you pick from four large pasta dishes. We finished up with very tasty bread pudding at Wellsburg’s newest restaurant, Legends. The overwhelming message was, “When will you do this AGAIN?” Thank you restaurants, Brooke Economic Development Authority, Wellsburg WV Chamber Commerce and the Brooke County WVU Extension Service for a great feast!
